Chinese New Year Celebration at TKK 2 PENABUR

Date: February 17, 2014 Author: dewisofa Categories: Article, Events

On Tuesday, 28 January 2014 we asked the children to eat fried noodle that usually served during the lunar new year along with Sangtang oranges. There was also a role play that the teachers and the kids played to preserve Chinese culture, such as giving an orange and red envelope/pocket containing chocolate coins to children the day before the Chinese New Year holiday.

Red-paced atmosphere of the school also welcomed the Chinese New Year celebration. Not forgetting we also hung some red lanterns along the corridors and halls of the school that characterizes the celebration itself. Despite of the heavy rainfall in January, did not deter our kids to come to school and actively celebrate it together with their friends and teachers in the classroom.

In Chinese New Year eve, all Chinese family usually gathered together to celebrate with their families and relatives. This tradition is very good because of the togetherness between families can continue to exists. We hope the children of TKK 2 PENABUR can also take advantage of this opportunity to meet with all of their relatives at least minimum once a year. Happy Chinese New Year. God bless the children and their dearest families.
